PRE-REGISTRATION PROFESSIONAL RIDER TRAINING COURSE FORM
PROFESSIONAL RIDER COURSE
AT THE DOMAIN OF LA BERGENNE
The idea of creating a “professional rider” course at the Domain of la Bergenne started from a double observation:
There is, on the one hand, a real deficiency in the training of riders who want to progress technically; The sector is experiencing recruitment difficulties linked to the low equestrian level of many candidates.
On the other hand, many stables are looking for real “horsemen” trained in the riding profession: those who have received a solid basic training from riders recognised for their seriousness and professionalism.
Our goal is to train good riders and allow students to practice riding intensively in order to develop real skills and also allow them to participate in the conduct and management of professional stables.
COURSE SCHEDULE
- Daily work on flat ground and at the obstacle of several horses or ponies
- 4 hours of riding / day on stables horses
- Participation in competitive outings
- Care and maintenance of horses (Formula 2)
- Monitoring and management of stables and support in competitions
Each trainee is responsible for several horses or ponies of different levels and must ensure their care, monitoring and daily work on the basis of alternating sessions in autonomy and sessions directed in private lessons to guide the horses work and follow the progress.
For students who wish to continue in the profession: Advice and integration into professional life: objectives will be proposed to students according to their profile following the course and contacts with professionals in the equestrian world will be established.
Preparation for the Dejeps entrance tests or preparation for the CEP or according to the profile of the trainee.
